October 18 – Judy Wasylycia-Leis today reiterated her commitment to make Winnipeg a more innovative, prosperous, and vibrant city where diversity is celebrated, where everyone has a voice, and which keeps our young people here.
Speaking to a crowd of volunteers at her campaign office in Winnipeg’s West End, Judy emphasized the importance of creating opportunities in Winnipeg so nobody is left behind.
“I truly believe it’s this commitment that has brought so many Winnipeggers together to support A City That Works,” said Wasylycia-Leis. “Creating opportunities is at the very heart and soul of our campaign, and reflects the amazing potential our city has.”
Judy’s plan will build a city where young entrepreneurs and our city’s youth can succeed, where exciting and innovative ideas are shared and acted on, and where no one is left behind.
This includes a tax freeze for small businesses, the exciting OurWinnipeg Studio, a comprehensive affordable housing strategy, and a new accord with Winnipeg’s Aboriginal Peoples.
Over 700 Winnipeggers have volunteered on Judy’s campaign rallying behind her vision for a city that is fair for everyone.
“Judy’s vision for our city is comprehensive and meaningful, and will truly create opportunities for everyone” said Jim Silver, “Winnipeg needs an experienced leader who knows how to connect the dots and make things happen: that leader is Judy.”
